Dawson Civil has recently completed the installation of the new 43-metre-long pedestrian and phase one of the 57-metre-long multiplate cattle tunnels in Chase, B.C. Graveling in preparation for spring paving is also now completed for the year.
Drainage crews have now begun work on installing catch basins and culverts, as well as preparing rip rap to place in drainage channels. This work will continue through the winter.
Travelers can expect to see the traffic flow moved to the new section of the Trans-Canada highway, west of Chase, B.C., once paving is done in the Spring. This will allow Dawson Civil crews to complete the remainder of the project on the existing stretch of highway, including the installation of intersections and frontage roads.
More updates will come as the project progresses.
