Dawson Civil started work on the 43-metre-long pedestrian tunnel in Chase, B.C. today. The first box, which Foreman Erek Boake is proudly standing in, is one of eighteen that will be installed.

Crews are also working on installing a 57-metre-long multiplate cattle tunnel and gravel placement is still underway in preparation for paving the two new lanes of highway in the Spring.

Travelers can expect to see the traffic flow moved to the new section of the Trans-Canada highway, west of Chase, B.C., once paving is done. This will allow Dawson Civil crews to complete the remainder of the project on the existing stretch of highway, including the installation of intersections and frontage roads.

More updates will come as the project progresses.
