Crews are back at work in Fraser Lake, where a major infrastructure improvement project is delivering upgrades to the community’s water, sanitary, stormwater, and transportation infrastructure.

Road construction began in May 2025 along Tunasa Drive, Carrier Crescent, and Tunasa Crescent, and is scheduled for completion by the end of summer. During the 2025 construction season, crews completed significant underground infrastructure work, including:

  • More than 1,400 metres of watermain installation
  • 52 water service connections
  • 840 metres of sanitary main installation
  • 52 sanitary service connections
  • Fire hydrant installations
  • Riprap ditch construction
  • More than 300 metres of storm main installation

Crews returned to site on May 24 and quickly resumed progress on the project. During the first week of work, the team installed 110 metres of storm main and completed two manholes. Crews are currently working on catch basins and service leads along Tunasa Drive.

Next week, work will shift to Tunasa Crescent and Carrier Crescent, where crews will continue installing storm infrastructure, including additional manholes, catch basins, lawn basins, and storm main piping designed to improve drainage throughout the neighbourhood.

As construction continues, crews will also remove existing hydrants, excavate roadways to subgrade, rebuild road gravels, construct sidewalks, curbs and gutters, and complete yard restorations throughout the project area.

Once complete, the project will provide Fraser Lake residents with upgraded water, sanitary, stormwater, and transportation infrastructure designed to support the community for years to come.
