Volunteers from the Dawson Group finance and accounting department spent the morning yesterday sorting a huge backlog of donations at the Pregnancy Care Centre of Kamloops. The team also received a tour of the building, learned about their services and how their efforts are helping to empower woman.
The care centre receives many clean, quality donations of baby and maternity clothes, blankets and more. Qualified mothers and families are invited to browse and help themselves to whatever they need for themselves or their child.
The team said they were impressed with the clothing – “everything was super clean and in great shape, their operation is very well run.”
One coworker also commented that she wished they had been around when she was young and getting ready for motherhood.
